The Wells Gray Park Visitor Information Centre is the official Visitor Centre for Wells Gray Park, for the Town of Clearwater and for the surrounding area. The Visitor Centre building is open from May until October, 7 days a week and November and December until Christmas, open 3 days a week each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The building has two accessible entrances: one on the main floor, and one around the left side of the building with automatic doors at both those entrances as well as into the washrooms. A Great Start to Your Adventure
This charming facility is the perfect first stop before enjoying your visit and starting your adventure. Our friendly information specialists will provide you with the detailed knowledge, maps, current conditions, and event information to make the most of your Wells Gray experience. The staff can assist in helping you book a guided experience, accommodation, or help you find the perfect trail and waterfalls for your getaway.
Come and see the fascinating interpretive displays that will guide you through the Indigenous, geological, and cultural history of the area while also showing you what the local wildlife is all about.
The centre also features a wide collection of locally made items and souvenirs to help you show your love for Wells Gray and Clearwater. All products sold at the Wells Gray Visitor Information Centre are Canadian made and locally sourced wherever possible – it’s not just your average gift shop. Tourism Wells Gray has also partnered with the BC Parks Foundation to develop Wells Gray Park branded merchandise. All proceeds from these items go back into the Visitor Centre and Wells Gray Park.
