Big news for Wells Gray explorers: Spahats Falls is officially open again, and it’s better than ever!

After months of upgrades and trail work, one of our most iconic and easily accessible waterfalls is welcoming visitors back with a brand new viewing platform and improved trail that brings you even closer to the awe.

What’s New at Spahats Falls?

1. A Brand New Viewing Platform

The newly built platform offers a stunning panoramic view of Spahats Falls as it plunges dramatically into a deep, volcanic canyon. Whether you’re capturing it on camera or just soaking it in, the experience now feels even more immersive (and yes, it’s still Instagram worthy!).

2. Trail Improvements

The short forest trail leading to the viewpoint has been widened and resurfaced to be more accessible for all visitors. It’s still an easy walk—just 5 minutes from the parking area but now smoother and more enjoyable for families, seniors, and strollers.

Why Spahats Falls is a Must See

Spahats Falls is one of the crown jewels of Wells Gray Provincial Park, and a favourite among locals and visitors alike. Dropping 75 meters (246 feet) into a layered lava canyon, it’s not just the waterfall that stuns—it’s the setting.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning after years away, Spahats always delivers that wow moment.
