Skate and Curl
Right at the doorstep to Wells Gray Park is the town of Clearwater and the North Thompson Sportsplex. A facility designed for hockey, curling, figure skating and many other community events. Regardless of how harsh the winter weather may get, local athletes and visitors alike of all ages can enjoy winter activities in this multi-use Sportsplex.
Hockey games, tournaments, and training are held in the regulation sized ice rink with viewing stands for spectators to watch all the action. The complex is home to the Clearwater Minor Hockey Association, Raft Mountain Skating Club, Wells Gray Curling Club and a number of recreational adult hockey leagues. They welcome drop-in for both hockey and family skating on a scheduled basis
For the curling enthusiast, the Wells Gray Curling Club holds regular events such as curling Bonspiels throughout the winter for all to enjoy.
